STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION
Stewards are God's People
“But this is the covenant which I will make the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord. I will place my law within them, and write it upon their hearts; I will be their God, and they shall be my people." (Jeremiah 31:33)

What does it mean to be God's people? It means that first we recognize that everything we have and everything we are truly belong to God. It also means that we are willing to use our gifts and lives in Stewardship. We are to take care of the world as God takes care of us.

FAMILY PERSPECTIVES
By Bud Ozar
Today's Gospel teaches about sacrificial love. Dying to our selves is the key to successful relationships. Forgiveness is heart of communal living. Family life and relationships require us to "love one another as I have loved you."

STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION
Stewardship Sacrifice
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes might not perish but might have eternal life." (John 3:16)

Of all the wonderful gifts that God has given to us, the gift of His own Son is truly the greatest. How can we ever thank God for a gift like that? God does not ask us to sacrifice our own precious first born, but He does ask that we give sacrificially of our time, talent and treasure in service to His people.

STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION
“You shall not crave idols for yourself in the shape of anything in the sky above or on the earth below or in the waters beneath the earth.” (Exodus 20:4)

Have you created idols for yourself in earthly shapes? An idol, which blocks stewardship, can be in the shape of money, sports, fashions, travel or anything else we value more than God and His word to us.

FAMILY PERSPECTIVES
By Bud Ozar
Listen to Jesus in today's Gospel "Stop making my father's house a marketplace." Has your home become more a place of business rather than a sanctuary of love and intimacy? Make your home a haven for your family, a harbor of safety from the stormy seas of life.

STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION
Withhold not your Stewardship
“Do not lay your hand on the boy,” said the messenger. “Do not do the least thing to him. I know how devoted you are to God, since you did not withhold from me your own beloved Son.” (Genesis 22:12)

Abraham was so devoted to God that he was willing to sacrifice his only son. How does our own devotion compare? Do we withhold time, talent, and treasure from the God who sacrificed His only Son for us?

FAMILY PERSPECTIVES
By Bud Ozar
In today’s Gospel, Jesus was transfigured, revealing His Glory that will overcome His passion and death. The suffering in our own lives and families will also be overcome by the Glory of Jesus. And we will share in that glory!
