CAST YOUR VOTE FOR THE NEW MERGED PARISH NAME

The following choices for the name of our merging parishes of St. Michael, St. Mary of Rosenhayn, St. Teresa of Avila and Immaculate Conception will be printed in our upcoming bulletin. Your help in casting the vote for our new name is an integral part of our four churches becoming one merged parish. Please cast your vote and drop your choice in the collection plate during Mass. Thank you.

List of suggested names for our Parish Merger

1. THE HOLY CROSS
The Holy Cross represents the triumph of God's great love. Jesus, the Lamb of God, died on the Holy Cross for each of us, for our salvation, and for our healing. The Holy Cross is a sign of love, mercy and forgiveness. Let us look to the Holy Cross for unity and healing. The four churches in our parish merger form the horizontal and vertical beams of the cross.

2. MARY HELP OF CHRISTIANS
Throughout history, Mary has been the Help of Christians. She interceded at the Wedding Feast of Cana. She saved Europe in the Battle of Lepanto. She continues to bring heavenly help at Fatima and at Lourdes. She intercedes for all those who seek her help, especially through the rosary.

3. MARY QUEEN OF ALL THE SAINTS
Mary is the model of discipleship for all the saints. Many of the saints consecrated their lives to Our Lady, seeking her guidance and protection. Our merger has two churches named for saints and two churches named for Mary.

4. ST. JOHN OF THE CROSS
St. John of the Cross was a Spanish Carmelite priest, a great mystic and a Doctor of the Church. With Teresa of Avila, he reformed the Carmelite Order. He was the spiritual director of Teresa of Avila.

5. ST. VINCENT de PAUL
St. Vincent de Paul was a French priest who founded the Vincentians and cofounded the Sisters of Charity. He dedicated his long life to helping the poor and needy. The St. Vincent de Paul Society is named for him.
