STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION
"The Perfect Steward"
"Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, and they all drank from it." (Mark 14:23)

Jesus, the perfect steward gave thanks, offering His disciples, including us, a chance to drink from His own cup. We can respond to the Eucharist by offering our time, talent, and treasure as a means of sacrificial giving.

GIFTED BY GOD: A PROGRAM FOR DISCERNING YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFTS
Are you interested in finding out your strengths and talents, and how you can use them for the betterment of your community as well as personal satisfaction? The Cumberland County Servants of the Church will sponsor a seminar, "Gifted by God: A Program for Discerning Your Spiritual Gifts" on Saturday, June 20 from 8:30am to 1:00pm at St. Mary's Church, Morton Ave., Rosenhayn.

The program will include speakers Deacon Bill Johnson of St. Teresa of Avila, Bridgeton; and Deacon Chris Nichols of St. Mary's; as well as an opportunity for all to take and score a spiritual gifts inventory to identify your own individual gifts.

Coffee, tea and pastries will be served at a late-morning break. Music will be provided by Darrin and Sarah Krug.

To register, call Dolly Smith (856) 825-6988, or you may register at the door. There will be a $10.00 fee to cover the cost of books and materials. Please join us for a stimulating and informative session.

A FAMILY PERSPECTIVE
By Bud Ozar
In the gospel today, Jesus tells his disciples, "you will meet a man. . . follow him . . . he will show you." Every child needs "a man" to "follow" who gives them direction, not so much by words, but by "showing." Fathers are called to be "the man," the "show-man."

SILENT RETREAT
A Woman's Silent Retreat sponsored by The Mother of Divine Mercy Center of the Church of the Immaculate Conception and spiritually directed by Father Ariel Hernandez will be held on July 17-19 at Pope John Paul II Retreat Center in Vineland, NJ. All are invited to the peace and quiet that the presence of God provides, and to awaken a new life filled with faith, where you will come away and experience the companionship and comfort of the One who says, "Be still and know that I am God."

For more information, please contact Cynthia Radano (856) 451-0880.
