House of Charity Update - from Father Bill. St. Michael's goal for the annual House of Charity appeal is $13,000.00. So far, we have acheived $12,100.24 in gifts and pledges. Thank you for your generosity. If you haven't contributed to our appeal, please do so now. We would like to make a final report to our Diocesan office by September 11, 2009. PARISH APPEAL - PETER'S PENCE COLLECTION
During his visit to the United States last year, Pope Benedict XVI called upon the United States to "be the first friend of all who suffer" by "casting the light of Christ upon the world." Your generosity will give emergency relief to those most in need around the globe, who suffer because of war, famine, disease, oppression, and natural disaster. Support the works of the Holy Father in our upcoming Peter's Pence Collection, September 13, 2009.



IT'S BBQ TIME AGAIN!
The annual Chicken BBQ is right around the corner. It will be held at St. Teresa of Avila Church on Sunday, September 13th, 12:00 - 5:00. ALL four parishes will benefit from the proceeds We are busy making plans for a great time of food and fun! Here's the menu: Half a chicken, cranberrry sauce, baked potato, cole slaw, corn on the cob, roll & butter, fruit & beverage. Doesn't that sound delicious!!! There will also be a bake sale, Basket of Cheer raffle, 50/50 raffle, and Chinese auction being held during the day. So, mark your calendars and see you there! If you haven't already received some by mail, additional tickets are available for purchase today after the Mass. Please see one of our volunteers at the front of the church.
