STEWARDSHIP REFLECTION - Grateful Stewards
"Immediately he received sight and folowed him on the way." (Mark 10:52b)
Stewardship calls us to be grateful. Like all of our basic senses and talents, sight is a gift we often take for granted. Remember that whatever we do, we do with the gifts that God has given to us.

MERGER CORNER
A committee with representatives from each of the four merging parishes has been working to write a Mission Statement for our Holy Cross Parish. We plan to present a darft of our new Mission Statement to our fellow parishioners sometime in November.

The Transitional Ministry Committee met Sept. 30, and among the topics discussed were outreach efforts to welcome back Catholics to the church, provisions to address the needs of the poor, the unborn, marginalized and immigrants in both charity and justice, strategies to initiate ministries and assistance for senior citizens and those with special needs, strategies to initiate an ongoing welcoming environment for the disabled, and planned multicultural and multiethnic communities in church and parish life.

If you have any questions about the merger of the four parishes or wish to provide input, please contact Father Ariel Hernandez, our Priest Convener, or a Core Team member.

Attention Catholic Star Herald Subscribers:
Our parish is updating the Catholic Star Herald subscription mailing list. We know that some families do not want it at this time and would like to be removed. Any unwanted or discarded newspapers cost the parish every month. Please let the Rectory Office know if you wish to remain on the mailing list or would like to be removed. Thank you.

As the Administrator of Immaculate Conception, St. Teresa of Avila, and St. Michael of Cedarville, Father Ariel Hernandez cordially requests all parish ministries to attend an important parish assembly meeting. He is requesting this meeting to inform, discuss, and review all parish ministries and to present his vision of the pastoral life in the three churches he serves as administrator.

Each ministry is vital to the life of the parish and your attendance at this parish assembly is strongly encouraged. Your presence will help Father Ariel make our parishes more vibrant and alive with the Holy Spirit. We hope to see you there!
